Ayia Napa Top European Beach

TripAdvisor has released its “World’s Best Beaches” list for 2011. The winners are based on the highest ratings by travellers on TripAdvisor.

Cypriot beach Avia Napa landed the number one spot on the Top Ten European Beach Destinations list, beating Skiathos in Greece and Protaras (also in Cyprus) in third place.

Ayia Napa’s vibrant music scene and nightlife, boat tours and diving spots, combined with its clear turquoise waters and soft sandy beaches, won the European category. Oludeniz in Turkey came in at fifth place, with St. Ives in Cornwall (sixth), and Mallorca, Sicily and Sardinia completing the Top Ten.
